What cookies and local storage do
Cookies and similar browser storage can maintain secure form sessions, remember preferences, or measure website use. This site distinguishes necessary functionality from optional analytics. Rejecting optional analytics does not prevent browsing or submitting an enquiry.
Essential form session
The cookie named pipl_session is created when the contact page or form-security endpoint opens a PHP session. It contains a session identifier, not your form message. It supports CSRF protection and form feedback. It is a session cookie with HttpOnly and SameSite=Lax attributes, and Secure when served over HTTPS. Server-side session lifetime is configured to 30 minutes; removal timing also depends on the hosting session-cleanup configuration.
Preference storage
The local-storage key pipl-consent-v1 stores your selected analytics preference, a schema version and the time of the choice. It is stored only on your browser and is treated as expired after 180 days. If browser storage is blocked, the choice is held for the current page only and you may be asked again on a later visit. Local storage is not itself a cookie.
Optional Google Analytics
The optional integration is Google Analytics 4 and is inactive until a measurement ID is configured and you accept analytics. When enabled, Google may set _ga and _ga_<identifier> cookies to distinguish browsers and sessions. This implementation requests a cookie lifetime of 180 days; provider behaviour and browser restrictions can affect actual retention. Analytics is disabled when you reject or withdraw consent. The site also attempts to remove its accessible _ga cookies on withdrawal. Cookies belonging to another domain cannot be removed by this site. No advertising or marketing tags are included in this build.
Managing your choice
Use Cookie preferences in the footer to accept, reject or change optional analytics. Reject optional and Accept optional are available in the initial banner. Browser settings can also delete or block cookies and local storage, although blocking all cookies may prevent the security-protected enquiry form from working. A configured analytics provider is required before the analytics switch becomes available.
External services
Opening WhatsApp, Google Maps, social networks or external websites may cause those services to use their own cookies. Their policies apply on those services. These third-party pages are not loaded as embedded widgets by this website.
