Pre-Commissioning Readiness is a critical phase in new hospital development that ensures all systems, spaces, equipment, and operational processes are fully prepared before the hospital becomes functional. A structured pre-commissioning approach minimizes operational risks, avoids last-minute failures, and enables a smooth, safe, and compliant hospital launch.
We develop a detailed pre-commissioning roadmap aligned with the hospital’s scope, specialties, and opening timeline. This includes coordination between architecture, engineering, clinical teams, vendors, and statutory authorities to ensure readiness across all departments.
A comprehensive review is conducted to verify completion and functionality of civil works, interiors, signage, accessibility, and patient flow. All clinical and non-clinical areas are checked for compliance with approved drawings, space standards, and safety norms.
All mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems undergo systematic inspection, testing, and validation. HVAC systems are tested for air changes, temperature, humidity, pressure differentials, and filtration performance, especially in OT, ICU, and isolation areas.
MGPS systems are pressure-tested, leak-tested, and validated for flow capacity, alarm functionality, and redundancy. Oxygen, vacuum, medical air, and backup systems are certified to ensure uninterrupted supply in critical areas.
Installed medical equipment is verified against BOQs and technical specifications. Functional testing, calibration, and safety checks are conducted to ensure equipment is ready for clinical use from day one.
Hospital Information Systems (HIS), nurse call systems, access control, CCTV, PACS, and communication networks are tested for integration, data security, and user functionality. System interoperability is verified across departments.
All clinical and non-clinical areas are checked for compliance with approved drawings, space standards, and safety norms.
Fire detection, alarm, suppression, smoke management, emergency lighting, and evacuation systems are tested in coordination with fire authorities. Mock drills are conducted to validate emergency response readiness.
Infection prevention measures such as air quality, surface finishes, hand hygiene stations, biomedical waste flow, and isolation protocols are reviewed to ensure compliance with NABH and hospital infection control guidelines.
We coordinate documentation and inspections required for statutory approvals including fire NOC, pollution control, lift certification, electrical safety, AERB (where applicable), and local authority clearances.
Department-wise Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are finalized for clinical care, housekeeping, biomedical waste management, emergency response, and patient safety. Workflows are aligned with actual site conditions.
Clinical and non-clinical staff are oriented to hospital layouts, equipment usage, safety systems, and emergency protocols. Mock patient flows and disaster drills are conducted to identify and rectify gaps before launch.
All identified snags, defects, and pending items are documented, tracked, and closed prior to commissioning. Risk assessments are performed to ensure no critical gaps remain.
Upon completion of all pre-commissioning activities, readiness reports and checklists are issued. We support hospitals during soft launch and initial operations to ensure stable and confident commissioning.
